Firefighters Knock Down Smoky Car Fire In Doylestown

DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — Firefighters quickly knocked down an automobile fire on Monday night just after 7 p.m.

The fire broke out in a vehicle at the intersection of East Ashland and Green streets.

It was the seventh call of the day for the local volunteers, according to the company's social media post.

This weekend you can show your appreciation to the volunteers for all the training and hours they put in keeping the community safe by attending and supporting them at their Fire Prevention Open House.

The open house takes place on Saturday, Oct. 8 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Doylestown Fire Company No. 1, 68 Shewell Avenue, Doylestown.

The trucks will be on display for photos and kids to climb aboard. There will be a scavenger hunt; lessons on stop, drop and roll; a chance for the kids and adults to use a hose line to extinguish a pretend fire; and an opportunity to greet the firefighters.

Joining the firefighters will be Central Bucks EMS, the Bucks County Sheriff’s Department and the Central Bucks Regional Police Department.
