Fonthill Castle Hosting 3rd Annual Beer Fest

What could be better than drinking cold beer on a summer day with a view of a beautiful, historic castle?

It's happening next month in Doylestown.

Fonthill Castle will host its third annual Beer Fest on Saturday, August 27 from 2 − 5 p.m.

Here's how event organizers describe the day at the castle:

Guests will enjoy an afternoon beer tasting in the spectacular outdoor setting of Fonthill paired with music and light fare.Fonthill Castle’s Beer Fest will feature over 25 participating regional breweries including Two Rivers, Mad Prince Brewing, Cooperz and Boardroom Spirits. Participating beer distributors include Origlio, Gretz, Mueller and Stockertown.In addition to beer, guests will enjoy music by local favorite, Jazz with Friends and a smorgasbord of light fare that features soft pretzels, southwestern dry rub chicken legs, roasted balsamic squash sliders, three bean chili and roast porchetta sandwiches.

Fonthill Castle Beer Fest general admission tickets are $55 per person and $25 for designated drivers. (No alcohol will be served to designated drivers).

A special First Tap VIP ticket includes exclusive access for select brews and tasty additions to the menu, including Beer Truffles from Pierre's Chocolates, mini crab cakes, coconut crusted shrimp, roast beef sliders and Mexican street corn.

First Tap VIP tickets include admission to the beer fest one hour before the general event and exclusive access to the draught lines lounge for select brews. The cost for VIP tickets are $100.

A free shuttle will provide service to downtown Doylestown, courtesy of Bucks County Transport.

Fonthill Castle is located at East Court Street and Route 313. Parking on the grounds is free. All guests must be 21 years of age or older and have a valid ID. No children or pets allowed.
