Odor Forces Evacuation Of Central Bucks Elementary School In Warwick
After ventilating the building, fire crews and PECO determined that students could return to school.

WARWICK TOWNSHIP, PA — A mysterious odor forced the brief evacuation of a Central Bucks elementary school Tuesday morning.
Just before 10 a.m. Warwick Township Police and fire crews from Doylestown, Lingohocken and Midway responded to the Bridge Valley Elementary School on Sugarbottom Road in Warwick to investigate a chemical smell.
After ventilating the building, fire crews and PECO determined that students could return to school. Crews also determined that the odor was pulled in from an outside source.

“Local officials have assured district administration that the source of the odor is not associated with Bridge Valley Elementary School and poses no threat to students and staff,” the school district said in a website message. “The fire department and PECO have inspected the building and
determined that it is safe for students and staff to return.
“Students, faculty and staff are to be commended for quickly and efficiently executing emergency response procedures,” the district added. “We are deeply grateful to our local police and fire for their quick response, and we appreciate the support and cooperation of our families.”
