Police in Wilson are looking for a group of people who fired gunshots at a home on Ferry Street early Tuesday morning.
According to police, the shots were fired around 12:15 a.m. at a building in the 1500 block of Ferry. No injuries have been reported.
Bullets hit the brick on the building, but "didn't penetrate into the home, thank goodness," said police Chief Steven Parkansky.
Police said witnesses saw three people walking back and forth along the block, wearing black hooded sweatshirts with the hoods up, and blue jeans.
After the shots were fired, they ran away onto South 16th Street. Later, a white sedan was seen driving very fast on Northampton Street, heading into Easton.
Police said the three people were a white male, a black male, and possible a woman, race unknown.
The building houses two apartments. Parkansky said the occupants in both apartments report they haven't had any trouble with anyone recently.
Police found four shell casings from a small caliber handgun at the scene. Wilson police officers were assisted by their colleagues from Easton and Palmer Township, Parkansky said. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 610-258-8746.
