No one was injured in the early-morning boiler room explosion.

A gas explosion that occurred early Monday morning at Ss. Colman-John Neumann School in Haverford Township has led the Archdiocese of Philadelphia to close the school until Friday at the earliest, according to the archdiocese.
Archdiocese of Philadelphia Director of Communications Kenneth Gavin said an explosion occurred in the boiler room of Saints Colman-John Neumann School in Bryn Mawr early this morning.
"This incident occurred prior to the arrival of any students or school administrators," Gavin said. "Thankfully, no one was injured."

"The earliest possible date for re-opening is this Friday," Gavin said.
PECO crews have been at the school since Monday morning, as well as an insurance adjuster.
Gavin said the school will be bringing in a structural engineer to examine the area where the explosion took place and look for any additional issues it may have caused, according to Gavin.
"We are extremely grateful to all those who are working to assess and remediate this situation as soon as possible," he said.
