Ready to Cut-But Not What You Might Think

Congressman Pat Meehan has some big scissors ready... but this wasn't about you might expect.

Ready to Cut-But Not What You Might Think

Congressman Pat Meehan (R-PA7) was talking money and picked up a huge pair of scissors during the discussion Thursday.

Meehan was hand to cut the ribbon on a new Beneficial Bank Branch which opens to the public on Saturday at 537 Baltimore Pike in Springfield.

As the debate over sequestration (automatic cuts in the scheduled increases of many federal budget items, including defense and tax increases) rages in Washington, members of Congress are on a recess this week.

Meehan, like many members of congress, is using the week to meet constituents on a range of issues in their home districts. Meehan will be in Chester Friday calling for a renewal of the Violence Against Women Act.
