$50K in Tools, Equipment Stolen from Horsham Business

Horsham Police are looking for witnesses who may have seen suspicious activity in the area where an overnight burglary of a commercial business was reported last week.

Police said the burglary at Tri-County Equipment and Tool Co. in the 1100 block of Horsham Road, which is in close proximity to Limekiln Pike, occurred during the overnight hours between Feb. 16 and Feb. 17.

The front door glass which faces Horsham Road was broken and various equipment, valued at $50,0000 total, was removed from inside. Items stolen included chainsaws, back pack blowers, string trimmers, hedge trimmers, tampers, and Makita power tools,

Police said the owners of Tri-County reported that two suspicious males had been in the business on the morning prior to the burglary. The men were described as a larger white male and a black male. The two reportedly operated a whitish-colored truck with a utility body. The men spent about 45 minutes in the business and eventually left without purchasing anything, police said.
