Charges Pending in Towamencin One-Car Accident

are investigating a one-vehicle accident on Kerr Road Wednesday night, in which the driver fled on foot following the crash.

Police said Charles Bowen, 46, of Harleysville, was driving a 1995 Dodge Caravan north on the 2200 block of Kerr Road at 9:56 p.m. Wednesday, August 15, when the car left the northbound shoulder and hit a stone drainage culvert abutment.

Bowen allegedly left the area on foot and was encountered by police a short distance away, police said.

The Caravan sustained moderate damage and was unable to be driven, police said.

Bowen suffered a minor injury, but refused medical treatment, police said.

The Caravan was towed from the scene.
