Propane Truck Catches Fire In Lansdale: Officials
A fire started into the cab of a propane delivery truck just across the street from a preschool in Lansdale Thursday morning.

LANSDALE, PA -- A propane delivery truck burst into flames in front of a preschool in Lansdale on Thursday morning, the Towamencin Volunteer Fire Company said.
The incident occurred at around 8:30 a.m. Thursday on Forty Food Road near Allentown Road, just across from the La Petite Academy Preschool.
Authorities said that a call initially came in as a disabled truck, but that flames quickly developed in the cab area of the truck, which was delivering propane.

Plumes of black smoke shot into the air and could be seen for blocks in all directions.
Towamencin police officer Jim Hanrahan was among the first on scene and helped move the driver of the truck away from the scene before the arrival of firefighters.

Officials noted that the fire was quickly contained and extinguished once responders were on scene.
Towamencin Volunteer Fire Company was assisted by Hatfield Fire Company and Harleysville Fire Police. Police officers from Hatfield, Upper Gwynedd and Lansdale also assisted in the incident.
No injuries were reported.
