Two juveniles were charged by Towamencin Township Police Dec. 14 for their alleged involvement in a brawl involving about 50 individuals at Forge Gate Apartments on Snyder Road.

The investigation revealed that two teens had been involved in a pre-planned fight and the others on the scene were spectators and supporters of the fight, police said.

Police identified a 17-year-old North Wales boy as one of the males involved in the fight. The juvenile was taken into custody and cited for disorderly conduct, police said. He was released to a parent.

The youth was injured, but declined medical treatment, police said.

A second juvenile — a 17-year-old Lansdale boy — was taken into custody during the investigation at the scene, police said. The youth refused to comply with police orders and acted aggressively, police said.

Police charged the 17-year-old Lansdale boy with obstruction of administration of law, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, police said. The teen was released to a parent, pending filing of charges through Montgomery County Juvenile Court.

Police responded to Forge Gate Apartments at 1141 Snyder Road, at around 3:15 p.m. Friday for a report of a large fight involving 50 individuals, police said.

Upon arrival, a number of youths fled the area on foot toward North Penn High School, police said.

An unusually-large number of vehicles carrying juveniles and young adults were seen exiting the apartment, police said.

Traffic exiting Forge Gate Apartments was stopped and a number of persons who fled were stopped by officers, police said.
