Levittown Begins Digging Out of Overnight Snowstorm
Parts of Bucks and the Greater Philadelphia region saw between 5 to 8 inches of snow accumulate overnight.
According to the National Weather Service, the Greater Philadelphia area saw anywhere between 5 to 8 inches of snow, with some regions getting as much as 10 inches. That's rough, but not as bad as parts of Massachusetts that saw more than 2 feet of snow.
Several municipalities have snow removal ordinances in place that require residents with to clear sidewalks within 24 hours after the snowfall ends. Bristol Township residents must have the snow removed in 12 hours. According to the township website, snow emergency routes get higher priority for plowing. Residents should not shovel, plow or push snow onto the public roads. It is also requested that residents clear snow away from fire hydrants.
Falls and Tullytown non-essential government offices are closed for the day. Trash pick-up in Bristol Township has also been canceled.
