Ambler Savings Bank Celebrates Community Banking Month with Food Drive for Philabundance

Ambler Savings Bank Celebrates Community Banking Month with Food Drive for Philabundance

April is Community Banking Month, and community banks across the nation are celebrating their customers and communities.

Ambler Savings Bank, with locations in Ambler, Fairview Village, Schwenksville, and Limerick, is celebrating Community Banking Month by giving back to our communities. We want to bring together our employees, customers, and communities to help those in need, and to do so, will be hosting a canned and non-perishable foods drive for Philabundance. The food collected during the drive will be sent to Philabundance and dispersed to their network of 500 agencies and programs throughout the Delaware Valley, which includes Mattie N. Dixon Community Cupboard in Ambler, Manna on Main Street in Lansdale, Catholic Social Services in East Norrtion, and Open Door Ministry in Royersford, among other Montgomery County based agencies.

Ambler Savings Bank is celebrating 140 years in business in Montgomery County, and to honor those years serving our communities, the Bank has a goal to collect 140 pounds of food across all four branches.

Collection boxes will be in the lobbies of all Ambler Savings Bank branches beginning April 1 and the food drive will run through the month of April. To find your nearest branch, visit our website, www.AmblerSavingsBank.com.

Philabundance’s “high priority” items include: macaroni and cheese, canned pasta, creamy peanut butter, jelly, canned green beans, canned corn, canned fruit, and hot and cold cereals. See a full list of high need items on the Philabundance website ( www.Philabundance.org).

In  Pennsylvania, Ambler Savings Bank is one of nearly 200 community banks, according to the Pennsylvania Assoiation of Community Bankers (PACB). In the state, community banks provide the greatest number of home mortgages and are the primary funding source for most local construction projects.
