Limerick Plane Emergency Crash-Landed After Takeoff
The plane didn't get far off the ground before the pilot was forced to bring it down Wednesday.

LIMERICK, PA -- More details emerged in the small plane crash in Limerick Township on Wednesday afternoon which left one man injured.
The plane went down at the Heritage Field Airport at about , formerly known as the Limerick-Pottstown Airport, at about 1:30 p.m., according to the police.
The pilot, a 42-year-old man from Wayne, was the only occupant of the small plane.

Shortly after takeoff, his single engine 1962 Mooney aircraft lost power.
Fortunately, he was able to bring the craft back down immediately and land safely in an adjacent field.

The pilot suffered lacerations, and was taken to Paoli Hospital for treatment of possible internal injuries.
The Federal Aviation Administration responded to conduct an investigation. Limerick Fire Company assisted the Limerick Township Police at the scene.
