Plane Crashes In Limerick
A plane crashed in Limerick Township on Wednesday afternoon.

LIMERICK, PA -- A plane crashed in Limerick Township on Wednesday afternoon, the Limerick Township Police Department confirmed.
The plane went down at the Heritage Field Airport at about , formerly known as the Limerick-Pottstown Airport, at about 1:30 p.m., according to the Montgomery County Active Incident Reports.
One person, the pilot, was taken to the hospital with injuries, according to a WFMZ-69 report. They did not appear serious and he is expected to recover.

The pilot, who was the only occupant of the small plane, was taking off from the airport when he reportedly began dealing with engine issues.
He immediately brought the plane back down and landed it in a field adjacent to the airport, the Pottstown Mercury reported.

The Federal Aviation Office based out of Allentown was en-route to the scene to conduct an investigation.
