Should the person who recently passed a phony $10 bill at the McDonald's in Lower Macungie ever be caught, they may learn that "having it their way" definitely has its limits.

That's because knowingly passing counterfeit money is a federal offense . . . even at the food-friendly McDonald's.

OK, "have it your way" was the 1970s slogan for fast-food competitor Burger King, but it isn't likely that that offer included accepting counterfeit money either.

According to state police at Fogelsville, management at the 6479 Village Lane McDonald's reported that someone passed the fake bill between 1 and 6 p.m. on Dec. 28.

The act was classified as fraud and police are investigating.
