'Hot' Vehicles are From Lower Mac, Police Say

Lower Macungie Township was the place for lost and found trucks, according to recently released state police reports.

In the "lost" department, state police at Fogelsville said a 2003 aluminum Mac trailer was stolen from 1725 Brookside Road. The trailer was owned by DJM Transport, LLC, of Kearny, N.J.

The stolen trailer bore the New Jersey license plate of TJT71R. Police said the trailer was reported stolen in September, although information about the incident was not released until Dec. 13.

In the "found" department, police reported that a tow truck reported stolen about a year ago was recovered at 2091 Willow Lane, police said. Police did not report the circumstances of the theft or recovery but said the vehicle, belonging to Edger Recinos, was taken from Falls Township, Wyoming County.

The tow truck was recovered at 4 p.m. Oct. 18, police said, but information was not released until Dec. 5. Police investigated the incident as a case of receiving stolen property. Police did not release the name of any suspects.

Anyone with information in either case is asked to call police at 610-395-1438.
