State Police Release Lower Macungie Incidents

recently released the following incidents pertaining to Lower Macungie Township:

Theft of motor vehicle: Reported at 1985 Brookside Road between 11:30 p.m. Sept. 4 and 2 a.m. Sept. 5; black 2007 Carry On Trailer with a 1997 red Yamaha three--wheeler, police said; no value given.

Theft from motor vehicle: Reported Oct. 14 by Pamela Lorusso of Valley Cottage, N.Y.; GPS and $30 taken from unlocked vehicle at 1525 Cambridge Drive, police said.

Charged: Jaclyn Marie Schlegel, 22, of Fleetwood; Sept. 3 with retail theft at Wal-Mart, 1091 Millcreek Road; stole two Nintendo video games from the store, police said.

Charged: William Sweeney, 18, and 17-year-old female Sept. 2 with harassment; female threw a water bottle that hit Sweeney in the head, police said; Sweeney then struck the female, who then struck him.

Theft from motor vehicle: Reported Sept. 12 by Glen Fortkamp; unlocked vehicle at 4627 Berwyn Lane entered and $350 removed from backpack, police said.

Theft of motor vehicle: Police attempted to stop a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee with an inoperable tail light at 1:49 a.m. Sept. 10, but vehicle would not stop, police said; chase ensued along Hamilton Boulevard, but police ended pursuit for safety; police found the vehicle had been stolen after contacting the owner Sara C. Smith, 43, of Orwigsburg, Schuylkill County.

Hit and run: Reported at 2 a.m. Sept. 7 at 1832 Willow Lane; vehicle struck porch of residence then continued south on Willow Lane, police said; witnesses asked to call police at 610-395-1438.
