State Police Release Lower Macungie Incidents

The following recent incidents in Lower Macungie Township were reported by :

Charged: Matthew David Bachman of the 3700 block of Knight Drive; June 3 with possession of marijuana; police said they found him with marijuana in a park after closing at Lincoln and Scenic View drives; arrested for possession of marijuana and related offenses.

Charged: Elizabeth Kammerer, 39, of Macungie; June 21 with harassment; Kammerer grabbed a 13-year-old boy by the shirt collar and shouted profanities at him at Stafford Drive and Wild Cherry Lane, police said.

Charged: Dustin R. Eck of Washington Street, Allentown; June 21 with retail theft at Wal-Mart, 1091 Mill Creek Road; took $40 in DVDs from sales cases, placed them in his pockets and left without paying, police said.

Theft from motor vehicle: Reported June 22 by Lee Anne Leckey of Emmaus; front driver's side window of vehicle smashed by object while parked at Lower Macungie Township building; black purse and iPod  taken between 6 and 8 p.m., police said; $528 total value.

Charged: Stephen D. Rosenkrantz, 19, of Emmaus; June 24 with driving at an unsafe speed following accident at Route 309 near Interstate 78; Rosenkrantz crashed his car into a guard rail on a wet roadway, police said; Rosenkrantz was uninjured, but his vehicle was towed because of damage.

Charged: Timothy Patrick Earls, 42, of Macungie; June 24 with aggravated assault; "intentionally and forcefully" struck a trooper in the chest with his forearm causing the trooper to fall backward against a wall, police said; incident occurred while police were investigating a domestic incident at 2138 Timberknoll Drive; charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment.
