Over $2,000 Stolen from Bustleton Pike Dunkin' Donuts

Police are looking for two men who they say stole money from the Dunkin' Donuts on Bustleton Pike early Thursday.

Store employees called police at around 5:15 a.m. to report the newly-opened location had been burglarized, Lower Southampton officials said. The staff was arriving to open for the day, according to a police report.

According to police, the suspects gained access to a locked cabinet and snatched $1,900. They also pried open cash registers and got $450. Police also noted that a locked cart with paperwork and additional cash inside was ransacked.

Surveillance cameras, police say, show the suspects walking from the Bottom Dollar Foods parking lot and to the rear door of the Dunkin' Donuts. The door was pried open with a small pry bar at around 1:30 a.m., police said.

The first suspect was described by police as wearing a black hooded coat, black jeans, gloves and a ski mask.

The second suspect donned a black coat, dark pants, a ski mash and gloves. He also appeared to be using a black shirt to cover his face, police said.

At 12:39 a.m. on Thursday, the Dunkin' Donuts in the 1800 block of Maple Avenue in the Langhorne section of Middletown was burglarized and some loose change was taken, authorities said.

Middletown police said the back door was pried open. They did not state whether the two incidents are suspected of being connected.

The same Maple Avenue store was burglarized in late November.
