The Lower Southampton Police Department is investigating a possible child luring incident that happened Thursday afternoon, Oct. 11.
According to the police report, the complainant reported that her child got off of the school bus around 3:50 p.m. near Ruth and Lindbergh streets and was walking home with his grandmother walking a short distance behind him.
An unknown subject was sitting in his vehicle near Phillip and Lindbergh streets. When the child walked past his vehicle, the subject asked the child if he wanted to get in.
The complainant reported that when the subject noticed the child's grandmother walking up behind him, he quickly left.
The child told police that he did not know the subject and had never seen him before.
The grandmother told police that she first thought the subject knew one of the kids that got off of the bus.
The subject is described as a white male with short hair wearing a shirt that exposed a good portion of his neck line. The grandmother said the subject's entire neck area was covered in tattoos. She couldn't tell if the vehicle was gray or green and that it was an older box like vehicle similar to Volvos.
