2012 in 8 Minutes: Watch East Whiteland Firefighters in Action

A new video produced by a local firefighter recaps last year's emergency responses.

As he has done in previous years, firefighter Kevin Skymba released a video this week recapping East Whiteland Volunteer Fire Association's activity in 2012.

The eight-minute video is a compilation of various emergency responses and other scenes, set to music and radio transmissions. Malvern Patch gets a shout in the closing credits for contributing a few photos to the project.

Viewers of the video will likely come away with one question:

What happened at the 7-minute mark?!

According to Skymba, the fireball was the result of an electrical transformer blowing after a car struck a utility pole near Great Valley High School. The fire company was waiting on PECO when the explosion occurred.
