State Police Blotter: Church, Plant Nursery Burglarized

Here is a list of recent incidents in Middletown and Edgmont townships reported by the . Anyone with information regarding any of these incidents is asked to call police at 484-840-1000. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

Criminal Mischief— parking lot between 9:50 to 11:30 a.m. on April 5. Unknown persons scratched obscenities on the glass window of the victim's vehicle, according to State Police.

Burglary—Gradyville United Methodist Church and Redbud Native Plant Nursery on Middletown Road in Edgmont Township between April 4 and 5. Unknown persons gained entry to the church by prying open a side door but did not disturb anything once inside and left through a front door, according to State Police. After leaving the church the persons went across the street and gained entry to the nursery by prying open the back door, according to State Police. Once inside the persons took the cash drawer containing $200 and keys that belonged to the building and fled the scene, according to State Police.

Retail Theft— at about 5:30 p.m. on April 4. A 20-year-old Middletown woman took several pieces of jewelry and other items from the store, concealed them and left the store without paying, according to State Police. The total value of the items was $428.28, according to State Police.

DUI—Route 1 at about 12:15 a.m. on April 4. Police observed a silver Honda Accord weaving in and out of its lane of travel and crossing the white lanes several times, according to State Police. A 52-year-old Glenmore woman was arrested for DUI and other charges, according to State Police.

Theft, Fraud, Forgery—Slitting Mill Road on April 2. Unknown persons gained access to the victim's PNC bank account information and made purchases at multiple retail stores throughout North New Jersey and New York, according to State Police. The total amount of purchases was $398.44, according to State Police.

Theft—Weathers Ford between April 3 and 4. Unknown persons took a tailgate from a red Dodge Ram pickup truck on the dealership parking lot, according to State Police.
