Catholic Schools Week Starts Sunday

Local Catholic schools have a number of events planned.

Catholic Schools Week Starts Sunday

The Archdiocese of Allentown will be celebrating Catholic Schools Week beginning Sunday and extending through Feb. 1.

This year's national theme is "Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service."

The Archdiocese of Allentown has 38 elementary schools and seven high schools, and boasts on its website that 97% of its graduates go on to college.

Catholic Schools Week is an annual celebration of the values-centered, faith-filled education that students receive in Catholic elementary, secondary and special-education schools, according to the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
