Construction Worker Killed In Fall From Solebury Bridge: Police

​A construction worker died Friday morning after falling from a bridge in Solebury Township, police said.

A construction worker died Friday morning after falling from a bridge in Solebury Township, police have confirmed. The incident happened shortly after 8 a.m. at Bucks County Bridge #162, which is located on Street Road between Pidcock Creek Road and Ridge Road.

When police arrived, the man was found unresponsive at the base of the bridge and in the creek. He was employed by Ettore Ventresca & Sons Inc and was working on a deck replacement project when he fell from the top bridge abutment.

He was treated on location and transported by Central Bucks EMS to Saint Mary Medical Center. He was pronounced deceased after arrival at the hospital.

The victim has not yet been identified.

Solebury Township Police Department was assisted on location by Midway Fire Company and Central Bucks EMS. Further investigation being conducted by Solebury Township Police and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) office from Allentown.
