An anonymous donor has given the Council Rock School District more than $5,000 to purchase iPads for Autistic Support Classes.

The donation, in the amount of $5,038, will be accepted at Thursday's school board meeting, according to the agenda. Click here to view the full agenda.

The iPad is an increasingly popular tool for autistic students. There are numerous apps specifically designed for autistic children, representatives from the Autism Cares Foundation in Richboro told Patch last fall.

The Autism Cares Foundation holds special iPad training classes for parents and students seeking to maximize application of the tool.

Patch caught up with the instructors and students during a class last November. Click here to read our report.
