Independent Filmmaker To Host Screening At Newtown Theatre Sunday

Jennifer M. Kay will be hosting a one-time screening of her new film “The Stall” during an event at the Newtown Theatre on Sunday.
The film, an official selection at the Hoboken International Film Festival, weaves together the lives of two characters after tragedy strikes.
Surrounded by a string of murders, Jezebel struggles with the death of her cousin and the haunting memories in her daily life. This feature film shows Jezebel working through therapy sessions trying to learn how to deal with her loss while avoiding her own demise.

The feminine presence transcends the screen to behind the scenes, written, produced, directed and starring mostly women.
The film was written by and produced by Jennifer M. Kay and was co-directed by Kay and Melissa O'Donnell.

The film showcases local talent including Melissa O’Donnell, Drew Pizzo, Tom Schmitt, Loren W. Lepre, Jodie Riccelli, Rachel Mazzagatti, Aimee Theresa and John DiRenzo. The film also features music from local acts like East of the West, Rich Quick, and Jay Griffy.
"The Stall" was shot in and around Philadelphia and Montgomery County.
Doors to the event open at 4 p.m. and the film starts at 4:30pm
