After missing four days of school because of Hurricane Sandy, Council Rock School District's last day of school is set for June 19, 2013.
A message to parents explained that the district must provide 180 days of school to students, according to Pennsylvania School Code.
"Our commitment to parents and students is 180 days of school and we expect to honor that commitment," the message said.
If winter weather causes the school district to call snow days, spring break could be cut short. The district said that some of the days set aside for spring break may have to be used to complete the 180-day school year.
"While this will be done reluctantly, you should be aware of this possibility now as you plan any vacations or college visits during that week," the district said.
If no additional snow days are used during the 2012-2013 school year, classes will end on Wednesday, June 19, 2013.
