Newtown Borough Poll Workers Put Politics Aside

Newtown Borough Poll Workers Put Politics Aside

It may be a heated presidential election, but for three Newtown Borough poll workers, that doesn't change the fact that they're neighbors.

This morning, Republicans Paul Salvatore and Mike DiFiori joined Democrat Liz Warren to work the polls at the Newtown Fire Station.

Despite the fact that they have differing political views, Warren and her Republican neighbors don't bicker or argue. "It's very congenial," Warren said. "We just want people to vote."

The trio had even shared a plate of cookies and hand warmers.

"We all get along," Salvatore said. "It's neighbors."
