Two Arrested for Racing On the Bypass, Man Breaks Into Parents' House

Newtown Township police reported the following recent incidents: 

Friday, July 4

At approximately 12:50 a.m. police stopped a vehicle for multiple traffic violations. The driver, Jason Thibodeau of Langhorne, was subsequently taken into custody for DUI.  Charges are pending on the results of lab work.

Saturday, July 5

At approximately 12:38 a.m. police stopped a vehicle for multiple traffic violations. The driver, Adam Pilon of Newtown, was subsequently taken into custody for DUI.  Charges are pending on the results of lab work.

At approximately 2:53 a.m. police stopped a vehicle for multiple traffic violations.  The driver, Joshua McCall of Newtown, was subsequently taken into custody for DUI.  Charges are pending on the results of lab work.

Sunday, July 6

At approximately 2:35 p.m. police responded to the 900 block of Park Ave, Wrightstown, for the report of a domestic incident. Upon further investigation, Stephen Griffin was arrested on charges of burglary, criminal trespass and harassment. It was found that Griffin had broken into his parents' house to retrieve car keys to a vehicle he knowingly was not permitted to use.  He had also violated conditions of his probation and was arraigned in front of Judge Seaman, where he was sent to Bucks County Prison. 

At approximately 10:35 p.m. police stopped two motor vehicles for racing on the Newtown Bypass. Upon contact with a passenger in one of the vehicles, James Propper of Levittown was placed into custody on a warrant from the Bucks County Sheriff’s for a parole violation. Propper was released to the Sheriff’s Department and the two drivers will be receiving traffic citations.
