UPDATE: No New Clues In Search For Missing Woman At Tyler Park, Officials Say

Lindsey Piccone, 21, has been missing since Tuesday. Her car was found at the 1,711-acre Tyler State Park, which is now closed for a search.

Officials said Thursday morning they've unearthed "no new clues" in the search for a missing woman whose car was found at Tyler State Park earlier this week. Ranger Eric Ihlein confirmed to Patch there is presently no public threat, but the park remained closed throughout Thursday for the ongoing search for Lindsey Piccone. The 21-year-old Bensalem woman went missing in the 1,711-acre park earlier in the week.

The search for her began Tuesday night, and continued all day Wednesday and Thursday.

Piccone's family and professional search teams, including authorities from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources as well as K-9 dog teams, are scouring the park for a trace of the young woman.

Ihlein said the search continued until 8 p.m. Wednesday and resumed at 7 a.m. Thursday. There are about 50 people, both family and law enforcement, searching for the woman.

It is an "active search," said Ihlein, a park ranger from Fort Washington State Park who is serving as a spokesperson during the search. He said volunteers are not currently needed for the search.

During a Wednesday afternoon press conference at the park, her family pleaded for her to contact them. "Lindsey, if you're listening, you are so loved," said family member Heather Andrews. "We aren't giving up until we find you."

Ihlein said the park will remain closed until the search is complete. He said closing the park makes the search easier for officials.

The young woman was reported missing Tuesday by her parents, Jeannette and Paul Piccone, also of Bensalem.

Ihlein did not know the make and model of her car and would not disclose where in the park it was found. He said she came to Tyler Park frequently with her dogs. Her dogs and her cell phone were not with her when she went missing, Ihlein said.

A search throughout Bucks County and other areas she has been known to visit frequently is also underway, authorities said.

Philadelphia Police conducted a helicopter search of the park late Tuesday night, which resulted in no leads, Ihlein said.

Bucks County Community College, which is located next to the park, told students via Facebook "there is no danger to the campus community."

Piccone is described as being 5’3”, 120 pounds and was last seen wearing a black tank top.

If anyone has information about her whereabouts, please call Bucks County Emergency Services at 610-982-5411.
