Tyler State Park Closing Dec. 7 For Annual Deer Hunt
The entire park will be closed for the hunt, so avoid the area for your safety.
If you're a frequenter of Tyler State Park, you might want to make other plans for Dec. 7 as the park will hold its annual one-day shotgun deer hunt.
According to the park, the hunt is held to help reduce problems such as natural resource impacts of increased white-tailed deer populations in the park.
The Dec. 7 hunt will allow hunters to bag antlered and antlerless deer, according to the park.

The Bucks County Courier Times reports no more than 150 hunters will be allowed to hunt in designated areas using manual, semi-automatic, or muzzleloader shotguns.
The 1,117-acre park has been hosting the annual hunt for nearly 30 years to help keep the park's ecosystem in tact, the Times reports.
