According to Rasmus Auctioneers, the online auction house is selling off the contents of the now-closed Montgomery Hospital in Norristown. There are reportedly over 8,000 items up for sale and everything is cataloged, organized and ready for bidding at online auction.

The hospital is offering the items from all eight floors of the facility back to the community through to both re-purpose them and generate revenue. There are items for sale from every area of the hospital including offices, kitchen and cafeteria, laboratories, operating rooms, patient rooms, visitor waiting areas and power plants.  

According to Rasmus, each item has been tagged, described in detail and photographed. There are twenty-eight pages worth of items that are currently online and available for bidding at . And there's more than just medical equipment. There's furniture and office equipment, as well as big-ticket medical items like angiography and mammogram machines. Most large items have been deinstalled and relocated to the ground floors to facilitate removal.

All of the items are available for on-site preview from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 4 and Wednesday, Dec. 5 at the former hospital at 1331 Powell Street. The  online auction will begin closing on Thursday, Dec. 6 at 11:07 a.m. at five items per minute. Buyers can bid interactively or place a maximum bid and let the system bid on their behalf up to their desired price.
