Sinkhole Shuts Down Stretch Of Road In Upper Merion
A road in Upper Merion is closed indefinitely after a sinkhole opened up Tuesday night.

UPPER MERION, PA — Church Road has been shut down in Upper Merion Township due to a sinkhole opening up, officials announced.
The closure began Tuesday evening sometime before 8 p.m.
The impacted area is between Henderson Road and Gulph Road, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said.

PennDOT engineers are on scene examining the extent of the damage, and the closure is expected to begin place indefinitely until a repair plan is put in place.
Backups and delays are expected and motorists should allow extra time for travel in the area.
