In addition to selecting a President, a U.S. Senator, a member of Congress, a state auditor general, treasurer, and attorney general, Ross Township and West View voters also selected a legislator to represent them in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
Ross Township and West View are carved up into four state legislative districts. Democrat incumbent Dominic Costa, a former Pittsburgh Police chief, was unopposed on the ballot and was re-elected to the seat he has held since 2009.

Robert Matzie (D-Incumbent) of Ambridge defeated Kathleen Coder (R) of Bellevue.
Adam Ravenstahl (D-Incumbent) defeated James Barr (Constitution Party).
Republican Hal English defeated Demorat David Tusick.
