SEPTA Tracks Start Smoking At 15th Street Forcing Train Delays

The Philadelphia Fire Department is investigating what caused smoke to come from the tracks Tuesday afternoon at the 15th Street Station.

PHILADELPHIA – SEPTA trains were delayed for about half an hour Tuesday after smoke rose from the tracks at the 15th Street Station.

SEPTA officials said the at about 12:30 p.m. smoke began coming up from the tracks at 15th Street Station.

No one was injured in the incident and Market-Frankford line trains saw a roughly 30 minute delay as crews responded.
