Wrong-Way, Head-On Crash Kills Philadelphia Woman, 3 More In Delaware
The crash occurred late Wednesday night on Interstate 495 in New Castle, Delaware. A 41-year-old Philadelphia woman was among those killed.
PHILADELPHIA — A wrong-way crash on a Delaware highway took the life of a Philadelphia woman and three others Wednesday night.
According to Delaware State Police, the crash occurred at about 11:30 p.m. on Interstate 495 in New Castle.
Police said a 2004 Ford F-150 was heading south in the left lane of Interstate 495 north near Route 13.

A 2020 Toyota Tacoma, driven by a 41-year-old Philadelphia woman, was heading north on Interstate 495 north in the left lane.
According to police, the Ford drove head-on into the Toyota.

Police said the woman was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Two others were in the Toyota when the crash occurred, and police said they died at a nearby hospital.
A 48-year-old man From Elkton, Maryland who was driving the Ford and wearing a seatbelt died at the scene.
The victims' identities were not released.
