In an effort to show community support and raise funds, people are being encouraged to sign our pink fire engine for a donation that will go towards cancer awareness right here in Phoenixville. People may sign their own name or the name of a special person who is battling cancer or a short message in memory of someone who lost their battle with this horrible disease. Special blue & pink T-shirts are also on sale to support this initiative. The T-shirts are $15 each and available in adult sizes; small to 3XL. You may sign the truck and purchase T-shirts at events where our pink Engine is on display or you may stop by our fire house any day of the week.
All proceeds will be used to help those living in our area that have survived or are currently fighting cancer. We will work with the Cancer Center at Phoenixville Hospital to identify survivors in need of assistance. During our first Cancer Awareness Initiative in 2012, money raised was donated to three local residents.
