Pittsburgh-Area High School Evacuated Due To Gas Odor
Authorities are investigating the source of the odor.
PITTSBURGH, PA - Chartiers Valley High School has been evacuated because of a gas odor. A statement on the Chartiers Valley School District website says the odor "was discovered in a limited area of the high school."
As a precaution, 9th grade students will remain at the middle school and 10th, 11th and 12th grade students will remain at the primary school while fire and police officials investigate. Students will return to class when the building is cleared by the fire department.
The district will provide additional information as it becomes available.
