2-Alarm Fire At Plymouth Meeting Dealership, Firefighter Injured
Breaking: As the fire blazed nearby, a car drove around barricades, hitting a fire hose and smacking it into a firefighter, officials said.
PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA — A two-alarm fire caused damage to a car dealership in Plymouth Meeting overnight, and one firefighter was injured.
The incident occurred at around 1 a.m. at the Carfagno Chevrolet on Ridge Pike, according to authorities.
When crews arrived on the scene, heavy fire was moving through the service area in the back of the building.

A supply line was run from the fire hydrant on the corner of Fairfield and Sandy Hill roads, authorities said. A second alarm was called.
As the fire blazed nearby, a car drove around barricades that had closed Ridge Pike, hitting a fire hose and smacking it into a firefighter, officials said. The firefighter suffered a leg injury and was transported to Einstein Montgomery Hospital for treatment.

The blaze was extinguished and crews were clear of the scene by about 5 a.m. Ridge Pike has since reopened.
The injured firefighter was released from the hospital but will undergo further testing and evaluation, authorities said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
