Rapoport was a lover of visual arts and the creative process. She was a Radnor School District student briefly and regularly attended the Wayne Art Center.
The scholarship was formed through a partnership between the Wayne Art Center and the Radnor High School art department "with the intent to reward a deserving and aspiring RHS art student with a class of their choice at the Wayne Art Center," according to the district.
