Manayunk Union Taco Offering Free Guacamole On Friday

MANAYUNK, PA -- Friday is National Guacamole Day, and one Manayunk establishment is celebrating the right way.

Union Taco and Chef Chef Nick Farina are offering free guacamole to customers throughout the day on September 16 at their location on 4229 Main Street.

"While you can get guacamole at any Mexican restaurant and market these days, nobody else serves up our signature Strawberry Habanero version," said Farina. "It's a truly unique composition, and our customers seem to absolutely love it. It's one of our most popular menu items. All of our guacamole is made fresh daily using perfectly ripe avocados and fresh ingredients."

Union Taco's guacamole, which comes in three varieties — Strawberry Habanero, Pico de Gallo and Original — comes with a basket of house-made chips, and is normally priced at $3.50 for a side order or $7 for a full order. Beginning at noon on Friday, customers will receive a free side order with the purchase of any taco, torta, salad or burrito, while they may also upgrade to a full order for half-price ($3.50), when they dine-in, a press release states.

The special is also in effect at the restaurant's Flourtown location.
