Fire Breaks Out After Car Crashes Into Delco Home

A car hit a Delaware County home late Tuesday night and caught fire, then that fire spread to the home.

LOWER CHICHESTER, PA — A car crashed into a Delaware County home late Tuesday night causing a fire at said home, according to fire officials and news reports.

The incident occurred just before midnight Tuesday on the 1500 block of Market Street in Lower Chichester Township, according to the Lower Chichester Volunteer Fire Company.

Action News reports a car driving at a high rate of speed hit one home's porch then continued and struck another home where it caught fire.

The car fire then spread to the home, the outlet reports.

According to Fox 29, the driver was thrown from the vehicle and was taken to a hospital in unknown condition.

A woman who was inside the home that caught fire was able to escape unharmed, the outlet reports.
