Get Out Weekend Planner: Adults, Kids and Family

Springfield has a bunch of activities for everyone in your family this weekend. Sign the kids up for Cub Scouts, find a new pet or get involved in a youth group.  Do you need a night out for yourself after the workweek? The Springfield Inn is hosting the Evolution Friday night! Get up early on Saturday to do your weekend workout. Have a great weekend with family and friends.  

When: Friday, Sept. 30 at 7 p.m.

Why Go: Cub Scout Pack 240 is having another sign-up night! This Scouting program includes a lot of great activities for kids, including four camping trips throughout the year and participating in traditions such as, the Pinewood Derby and the Rain Gutter Regatta.

When: Saturday, Oct. 1 at 10 a.m.

Why Go: The Animal Coalition of Delaware County believe all animals deserve a loving home.  Petsmart will be hosting ACDC to help families find the perfect pet for them. The ACDC is a nonprofit organization completely run by volunteers. The organization cares for the animals in a foster home environment until they find permanent adoptive families. Find your perfect pet this weekend!

Why Go: Princeton Presbyterian Church hosts a youth group for all kids between 5th and 12th grades.  The group meets on the first and third Sunday of every month.

Why Go: The Springfield Inn is hosting  The Evolution this Friday night. This high-energy band from the Philadelphia area has been together for 8 years and has played all around the world. Don't miss your chance to be part of the fun!

Where: 1260 E. Woodland Ave., Suite 32

Why Go: Fort Fitness presents an intense workout consisting of 30 minutes of boot camp, 30 minutes of kettlebells and 30 minutes of core training. The boot camp workout focuses on speed, agility and endurance. The kettlebell workout is for strength training, followed by core training: abs, hips and back.
