Conestoga Students to Mark MLK Day Thursday

Conestoga’s African American Student Union plans a celebration to honor Martin Luther King, Jr. on Thursday, January 17, 2013, in the school’s Wagner Memorial Auditorium.

Conestoga and other Tredyffrin Easttown School District schools will be closed on Monday, January 21 in observance of the MLK Day holiday.

PA State Senator Andrew Dinniman (D-19) will visit as part of the festivities. Following student presentations, Senator Dinniman will speak about Dr. King’s legacy in the civil rights movement.

He will also elaborate on Dr. King’s impact on the Senator’s own work.
