Devon Manor Sale To Cause 124 Layoffs, Pa. Department Of Labor Says

Company is working to relocate Devon Manor residents, officials said.

Devon Manor has been sold to an undisclosed buyer and according to the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and industry 124 Devon Manor employees will be laid off as of Nov. 17.

Devon Manor operates under HCR ManorCare, a Toledo, Ohio-based short and long term healthcare provider.

HCR ManorCare Assistant Vice President of Marketing and Communications Julie Beckert would not name the buyer of the Devon Manor nor could she provide the sale price.

Main Line Media News reports Devon Manor was sold to O'Neill Properties Group of King of Prussia, but Beckert said she did not have that information.

Beckert said the company is working to move current Devon Manor residents to other medical centers, with the hopes of keeping those residents in the Easttown area.
