Vehicle Catches Fire In Tredyffrin Sunday

This was the fourth vehicle fire in the township in about three weeks' time.

TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA – A car caught fire Sunday afternoon in Tredyffrin Township, causing Berwyn Fire Company crews to briefly abandon their ice cream fundraiser at Handel's.

According to the fire company, crews responded to northbound U.S. Route 202 near West Valley Road at 4:50 p.m. for the car fire.

Crews arrived to find a car engulfed in flames and the driver safely out of the car, the fire company said.

Responders restricted traffic with the help of Tredyffrin Police and had the scene clear by 5:30 p.m., the fire company said.

This is the fourth vehicle fire Berwyn Fire Company crews have handled in recent weeks.
