Upper Dublin Donates Materials to Ethiopian School

Equipment that Upper Dublin School District had deemed "outdated" when the new high school was built will find new life at Queen Sheba School in Adwa, Ethiopia.

Approximately 11,000 pounds of materials, including "50 computers, TVs, projectors, VCRs and thousands of high school textbooks" were sent with the help of Boeing to the school, which celebrated its 170th anniversary in June, according to an article in the Ambler Gazette.

Upper Dublin School District donated the items to the Ethiopian school, and Boeing, who was sending a new airplane to a purchaser in Ethiopia, donated the empty space on the new airliner to ship the materials.
