Easter Sunday means many things to many people. Some folks attend church and dwell on the significance of one of the holiest days on the Christian calendar.
Children look forward to digging into chocolate bunnies and other treats in a basket left by the Easter Bunny.
Many others take the family to a special Easter brunch to mark the holiday and there are many places in the Upper Macungie area to do just that.
The Glasbern Country Inn in Fogelsville is not serving a brunch, but is serving an Easter dinner from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Upper Macungie's three diners, the Starlite Diner, Chris' Family Restaurant and the Home Town Diner serve breakfast and brunch selections all day.
The Holiday Inn and Conference Center in Fogelsville is featuring an Easter brunch in its banquet facilities from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Reservations are recommended and the noon and 1 p.m. seating are already full.
A local favorite is Cracker Barrel in Fogelsville, which serves breakfast and lunch foods throughout the day.
Another popular brunch spot that's not in Upper Macungie, but is very close, is Bear Creek Mountain Resort in Macungie. They'll be serving Easter brunch from 10:30 a.m. until 2 p.m.
