Winter Storm: How Much Snow Will We Get?

A major winter storm will hit the Northeast and New England today into Saturday and Upper Macungie could get 3 to 5 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service.

The worst of the storm will hit tonight with heavy blowing snow expected:

  • Tonight: Snow, mainly before 5 a.m., could be heavy at times with three to five inches possible. Low around 25.

The National Weather Service says:

"As much as one to two feet of snow is forecast from the New York City metro area to Maine, with localized heavier amounts possible. This, in addition to wind gusts as high as 60-75 mph will create significant impacts to transportation and power. Coastal flooding is also possible from Boston northward."
