Man Arrested for DUI with Cheese Steak on His Lap

Theft: On Oct. 21, the West Chester police responded to the report of a theft at the Salvation Army Thrift Shop located at 250 East Market Street.  After an investigation, police took 36-year-old West Chester resident Bartolome Castro into custody for alleged theft.

Assault: On Oct. 22, at approximately 1:15 a.m. police responded to the 600 block of Downingtown Pike after a report of a disturbance.  Police arrested 25-year-old Scranton resident Delron Reed for alleged simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief after he allegedly damaged the screen door and accosted the victim.

DUI: On Oct. 21, police responded to the intersection of Bradford Avenue and Gay Street after a report of a subject passed out behind the wheel of a car.  At the scene, police made contact with 25-year-old Philadelphia resident Lawrence Mitchell, who was asleep behind the wheel with a cheese steak on his lap.  Police arrested Mitchell after he allegedly failed field sobriety tests.
